Girls Varsity Lacrosse
Shannon is from Baltimore, MD where she grew up playing and loving lacrosse since she was a young child. Shannon played for Skywalkers Lacrosse Club and was a three-sport athlete at Mercy High School Baltimore in Cross Country, Basketball, and Lacrosse. During her high school years, she was a 4-year varsity midfielder/attacker and won a conference championship in her junior year. She earned IAAM All-Conference honors and lead her team in points two years in a row. Shannon was named Most Valuable Player in her junior and senior year. She was also honored as a senior captain and the recipient of the Outstanding Sportswoman award. In college, Shannon played attack for Loyola University Maryland, where the Greyhounds won 3 Patriot League Championships and made 4 NCAA Tournament appearances. Shannon overcame adversity during her time in college when she was sidelined due to injury. This experience, however, gave her an interesting perspective and an incredible opportunity to watch and learn from some of the best players and coaches in the game! Shannon graduated from Loyola with a B.A. in Speech Pathology in 2016. She earned her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2019 and now works for Fairfax County Public Schools. Shannon's role on Varsity will be coordinating our offensive.
